TECHNICAL SUBMITTAL FOR COPPER TUBES FOR LPG/CNG/DOMESTIC GAS PIPE LINE OR RETRICULATED GAS PIPE LINE APPLICATION

SPECIFICATION: COPPER TUBES CONFORMING TO EN 1057 R 220/MGL SPECIFICATION ENGSPEC/COPPER TUBES /06/2015/GAIL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF COPPER PIPES

•  The straight tubes will be supplied in half hard condition.
•  The chemical composition will be confirm to grade C 12200 or CW024A designated as DHP grade "Phosphorus Deoxidized High Residual Copper" grade having min.copper percentage 99.9% with phosphorus percent of 0.15% to 0.40%
•  The copper tubes will have the following physical/mechanical properties
•  Tensile strength   250 MPA minimum
•  Elongation   30% minimum
•  Hardness  80 HV 5 MAX
•  Bend Test   Should not crack while bending
•  Expansion 30%   Should not crack while expanding the tube
•  Eddy current Test   As per E 243
•  Carbon film Test   As per EN 1057
•  All copper tube will be 100% eddy current tested as per E:243 and no tubes will be supplied without eddy current testing.
•  Dimensional tolerance will be strictly as per the allowed tolerance of the specification for average diameter and wall thickness tolerance.
•  The sizes of copper tubes is as follows:

•  The test will be conducted on each lot of copper tubes and test certificate will be provided with material.The test certificate will be provided as per specification only.No copper tube will be dispatched without valid test and will not be acceptable without the test certificate.
•  All copper tube will be supplied with clean inside finish and will be supplied in fixed length of 3 meter.The contamination level allowed will be max 0.038 gm/mm2
•  Each copper tubes will be supplied with end caps at both ends and shall have permanent link marking.
•  The copper tube must ba packed & wrapped in shrink bag to protect them from any atmospheric degradation/contamination.
•  Janya copper tubes are complied to European Directive of ROHS (Lead/Mercury/Chromium-within 1000ppm and cadmium 100ppm max),presense of these heavy elements above the permissible limit are hazardous to human life.
•  Each Janya copper pipes will have permanent markings on the surface of the pipe with name of the brand,specification,temper,dimension and batch no etc.
